The Old Well is a paper-collage masterpiece by UNC alumna Janice Weiss. It captures Chapel Hill’s most beloved symbol through vibrant layers of color and texture, while our laser-cut Carolina “whimsies” invite puzzlers to rediscover campus history piece by piece: from James K. Polk and the Davie Poplar to South Building and the Morehead-Patterson Bell Tower. More than a pastime, each puzzle is a tactile connection to heritage and community; a handcrafted heirloom that bridges artistry and storytelling in a way only Hello World Puzzles can.
With over 425 pieces, The Old Well puzzle measures 19" x 14.5" and is packaged in a custom handmade wooden box.
This puzzle was amazing!! The details were so impressive and the artwork was simply beautiful! My mom, sister, and I (all TarHeels:)) put the puzzle together and it was such a fun time! We enjoyed seeing all of the specialty pieces that were so sentimental and special to us and our favorite place! Overall, this puzzle was one of my favorite gifts I have ever received and the fact that it was handmade made it even more special to me!!
