Our fascination with wooden Jigsaw puzzles was born during the Pandemic. We had always loved jigsaw puzzles, but absolutely fell in love with wooden jigsaw puzzles when we were given one by a friend. The texture, feel and permanence of a finely crafted wooden jigsaw puzzle appealed to us during that time of great uncertainty.

So, we thought, how hard could it be to make our own? As it turns out, the answer is "pretty darned hard." After three years of trial-and-error, of hours masked up in maker spaces during the height of the pandemic, freezing weekends in our unheated garage and lots of wasted wood, we finally feel like we had a product that met our expectations for quality and content.

Each of these puzzles is handmade in our North Carolina workshop. The artwork is created from vintage postcards that we select for both their visual appeal and for the story they tell. The pieces in our puzzles are all hand-drawn, including the "whimsies" which are unique to each product. We cut the puzzles ourselves from wood sourced in the United States. Even the inlaid boxes which contain our puzzles are handmade in our workshop.

While we are very proud of the quality of our work, we think that it is the content that makes our puzzles completely unique. Our puzzles all come with a rigorously researched guide that tells the story of the subject through a booklet with a narrative that describes each of the postcards that comprise our artwork. Each of our "whimsies" also have their own stories which are included as well. It is a puzzle experience like no other.
