What Makes This Puzzle Unique?
There are no other puzzles exactly like ours on the market. They really should be called "Story Puzzles" because they tell the story of the subject through the art, pieces, the puzzle guide and brochure, and our custom-made wooden box. It is a puzzle like no other.
Vintage Postcards
This postcard is typical of the quality of imagery that we use in our puzzles. It was printed during the "Golden Era" of postcards, between 1901 and 1907, by the Detroit Photographic Company. Written messages were only allowed on the front of the postcard and the back was exclusively used for the address. They were akin to "tweets" today - short messages that could be delivered quickly and inexpensively. It cost one cent to mail a postcard in the U.S.
Unique Whimsy Pieces
Every piece of our puzzle is different as you would expect in a high-quality wooden jigsaw puzzle. Hello World Puzzles feature "Whimsy" pieces that are carefully designed to help convey the story of the puzzle. Each Whimsy captures an aspect of the subject uniquely. Our puzzles usually include an Easter egg, or puzzle-within-the-puzzle, such as a representation of the Harvard shield as seen here. The pieces are all made from high-quality maple plywood, specially designed for the experimental aircraft industry.
Puzzle Guide
What makes Hello World Puzzles unique is that we give you a multidimensional puzzle experience. In addition to putting together a fun jigsaw puzzle, we tell the story of the puzzle by carefully researching each postcard. We call this our Puzzle Guide, much as you might have a Museum guide when you visit a gallery. Our narrative brings life, character, and context to the artwork.
Whimsy Guide
Admittedly, some of the Whimsy pieces that we choose for our puzzle are a bit obscure. We do that to give depth and richness to the experience, but we don't want to leave you "puzzled" as to our selection. So, we include a Whimsy guide to help you enjoy the puzzle and learn more about the subject.
Wrapping It All Up
This puzzle is so unique that it deserves to be displayed, not stuffed away in a closet with all of your other puzzles. So, we put it in a handmade wooden box with our Logo inlaid on the top. No boring cardboard box for our puzzle!
